Urban Plan/Urban Land Institute (Europe) visited the City of London Academy (Southwark) and delivered a very exciting and inspirational workshop to our A-Level Geography Students.
City of London Academy (Southwark) students had to pitch their ideas on urban development in teams, to a panel of industry experts; before the panel decided on a winning team.
The winning team were comprised of five students from Year 12, who will all get the opportunity to attend a lunch at City Hall, where they will also meet architects and planners of the City.
The experts shared their experiences with the students and gave a very helpful Q&A session at the end. Students were able to ask practical questions about how to get into the industry, how geography can help them to understand cities and its impact on communities in real life.
City of London Academy (Southwark) is very grateful to the Professionals at Urban Plan/Urban Land Institute for giving up their time to come and speak with the students, they delivered a very engaging workshop and many of the students are now looking to study Geography at University.
