      Sixth Form Open Evening - Fully Booked

      Book your place at our Sixth Form Open Evening - Thursday 1st November 2018 (4:30-5.30 pm or 6:00-7:00 pm)

      The Open Evening will start at the City of London Academy Lynton Road Site, with the opportunity to view the Sixth Form building at the end of each session, please book your place to confirm your admission.

      External Students only.

      Your future starts with a visit to our Open Evening.

      Admission by ticket only (One ticket per visitor. e.g. Parent will need their own ticket)

      Prospective students must be in their full school uniform and carrying their school ID card

      The sessions start promptly at 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

      Due to unprecedented demand, we have introduced a booking system and places will be limited.

      We are delighted that you are considering joining our thriving Sixth Form, we have now settled in nicely to our state of the art Sixth Form building which was designed by students, for students and opened in September 2017.

      We are very proud to have successfully combined academic excellence for our students with an inclusive, vibrant and creative ethos. The commitment and hard work of our pupils, parents and staff have resulted in our Sixth Form becoming one of the highest performing in Southwark with record numbers progressing to university or the world of work.

      The City of London Academy Sixth Form is a centre of excellence, sponsored by the City of London Corporation. We offer you a broad, high quality education with an added focus on our Business & Enterprise and Sport specialisms.

      Our enrichment programme offers you a choice of the latest opportunities, from skills-based activities to working within the local community and the City of London. We have a strong tradition in Mathematics, Science and the Arts with plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. There is also Sport at all levels, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the opportunity to take up a unique placement through the Lord Mayor of the City of London’s Cultural Scholarship Programme. Our highly successful Basketball Academy was launched in 2013 and our teams compete in the Men’s and Women’s Elite Academy Basketball Leagues. These are the top leagues in the UK for school basketball and we are proud to be one of only six Academies in the UK with this offering.

      The Open Evening will consist of a tour of the building, when there will be an opportunity to view a range of displays and visit faculties. This will be followed by a talk from the Principal and Director of Sixth Form and you will have the opportunity to find out more about the Sixth Form entry requirements. There will then be an opportunity to tour the Sixth Form building although this is optional.

      Tour spaces will be limited to first come first served.

      Please arrive promptly, admission is not guaranteed if you are not ready for the beginning of the tour.

      FAQs

      Do I need to wear a School Uniform to attend?

      Students must attend in their full school uniform and bring their school ID.

      Do I have to bring confirmation of my booking to the event?

      Yes. There will be no admittance without proof of booking. One ticket admits one visitor.

      Your tour booking admits one person and will be confirmed on your ticket.

      Do I need to be accompanied by my parents?

      All young people viewing the school need to be accompanied by an appropriate adult (e.g. over 18).
