Welcome
to the City of London Academy Website.
The City of London Academy has now been open for three
and a half years and has 744 Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 students and a growing
Sixth Form of 50 more. In September 2005 the Academy moved into brand
new buildings in Lynton Road. By 2009 there will be 1200 pupils at the
school.
The establishment of the Academy is one of the most
exciting developments in London education in recent years: a new school,
sponsored by the City of London Corporation, itself an Local Authority.
The City of London knows the importance of imaginative, innovative and
skilled employees and its sponsorship is a hallmark of success.
This website is also a great innovation for the
Academy – as well as providing information about the school, it also
provides pupil and parental access to all schemes of work and homework
tasks as well as information about achievement, attainment and
attendance. Finally, pupils will be able to use the website for guided
research links to other internet websites.
This website is also an integral part of Academy life:
all job vacancies are posted here and applications online are
encouraged; our community initiatives are outlined in full; and Academy
documentation is published for easy access!
I hope that you enjoy finding out about the City of
London Academy through this website.
Best wishes,
Martyn Coles
Principal
