Applying for Entry to the Academy

The City of London Academy is a new 11-19 mixed, comprehensive school sponsored by the City of London. City Academies are publicly funded independent schools.

We are a centre of excellence and we provide high quality education for children from the City of London and Southwark.

The educational vision for the Academy is based on a culture of high expectation and achievement within a caring community.

Much is demanded of Academy pupils and, indeed, parents through their support for their children. A high quality, wide ranging curriculum is offered both within the school day and after school. High standards of behaviour are expected to ensure that all pupils have every opportunity to succeed.

The specialisms of the Academy are Sport and Business & Enterprise, based on "City" subjects such as finance, economics, business and law. There is also an emphasis on the Arts and, of course, Sport plays a major role in the school.
