Keep Warm Well Event |
Fuel Poverty Information Event - Saturday 13 November
Together with Council departments, Southwark PCT and Southwark voluntary agencies, as part of the Southwark Keep Warm Keep Well partnership, SLAN is helping to organise a fuel poverty information event for local residents and shoppers on Saturday 13 November: 11 - 3pm, in the Blue Anchor Market Place, Southwark Park Rd, SE16.
Through a combination of information stands and group training sessions in the Blue Anchor library, visitors will be able to find out about:

saving energy and money, including finding the best deal on energy suppliers

financial help with fuel bills, including debt and benefits advice

grants available to improve energy efficiency in the home

staying well and healthy

YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE!
Groups A and B meet to develop social and performance skills and work with professional artists from both the education and arts industries.
GROUP A (Ages 7-10)
Saturdays
10.00am to 11.00am and 11.15am -12.15pm
GROUP B (ages 11-14)
Saturdays
1pm-3pm
BLUE ELEPHANT YOUNG COMPANY
The company creates it’s own work to be performed as part of the season at The Blue Elephant Theatre.

Council Tax Advice Sessions

Southwark CABx Service in partnership with DLA Piper solicitors will be offering a monthly drop-in advice session for Southwark residents who are having difficulty paying Council Tax.
The drop-in sessions will take place from 5 - 7pm on Tuesday 11 May, Tuesday 1 June and Tuesday 6 July at Bermondsey CAB. These sessions are envisaged as a pilot - if successful, we are planning to continue the sessions on a monthly basis from September. |
