International Women's Day 2017

Southwark poet, journalist, writer and documentary maker, Siana Bangura visited CoLA last week to celebrate International Women's Day. She joined our citizenship students writing about feminism, she then did a Q&A and a poetry reading with a Yr 11 English class.

Siana then joined sociology students and discussed her experience at Cambridge University, race, class, gender and feminism.  ‎Assistant Principal at City of London Academy, Carly Moran says: "It was a wonderful experience: positive empowering and thought provoking."
