Top marks for CoLA 6th Form!

I am delighted to announce our best ever set of A Level results. Our students achieved an excellent average point score of 772 (690 in 2012), with 18% A*- A and 44% A*- B.

There results have enabled 96% of our university applicants to secure places at their chosen university. These include top medical schools like UCL, King’s and St George’s in London, the elite Conservatoire of Music at Trinity, and a range of other courses and universities such as Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Hull and  Photography and Video Art at the University of Bedfordshire.

Here is a snapshot of our individual success stories:

·         Tahmid Ahmed (Head Boy) A*AAA going to UCL to study Medicine

·         Rada Ouchakova (Head Girl) AAAB going to Kings to Study English

·         Hann Nguyen A*A*AA taking a gap year before going to Imperial to study Mathematics

·         Harry Gilloway (Deputy Head Boy) ABB going to St. Georges to study Biomedical Sciences

·         Vanessa Richie-Suarez (BBB) going to Trinity Conservatoire of Music

·         Mustafa Al-Bassam (AAA) going to Kings to study Computer Science

As well as academic success, pupils on our vocational pathways have also made us proud with 54% of entries achieving Distinctions or Distinction*. Some of these are going on to study courses including Civil Engineering at Brunel, as well as starting high profile apprenticeships in IT with Cloudscape.

These results are testimony to the fantastic partnership between students and staff at the Academy and we look forward to an even more successful 2014.
