If the festive season has left you with a cupboard full of things you don't need, why not have a clear out and bring them along to this free Give and Take Day where you can exchange them for something you want. Unwanted presents, old electrical goods, furniture, clothing or other items that are in good condition can all be accepted. Give and Take Days are organised throughout the year by Veolia Environmental Services on behalf of Southwark Council. There is no obligation to bring items in order to take items away.
It's free to give and free to take! Any leftovers at the end of the day will be sent for recycling wherever possible. Damaged or unusable items will not be accepted. Everything is given away for free and no money can exchange hands. An electrician will be on hand to test electrical appliances.

A Snowy Day
Stephanie Pearson, 10A
Today I went to the playground for a walk.
I went with Miss.
I saw a robin, a thrush, and a wagtail, too –
I don’t know what they are, Miss told me.
In the snow I saw fox paw prints …
I wish I could see the fox!
I saw some yellow flowers growing on a bush;
I felt the snow crunch under my feet;
I held the snow in my hands –
It melted very fast.
We came back into the warmth,
And I said to Miss,
“Oh dear, my ears are cold!”
