Governance arrangements – City of London Academy (Southwark)

The Local Governing Body (LGB) of the City of London Academy (Southwark) is responsible for ensuring there is a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction. Governors hold senior leaders to account for the educational performance of pupils, and oversee financial performance, ensuring money is well spent.

The LGB has established sub committees to focus on specific areas of responsibility in more detail.   For the current academic year (2017-18), these are the Finance and General Purposes sub committee, and the Curriculum and Community sub committee.

The City of London Academies Trust is the legal entity accountable for the City of London Academy (Southwark).   The Terms of Reference of LGBs of the Trust and the Trust Scheme of Delegation can be found below.

Further information can be found on the Trust web site: http://www.cola.org.uk
