A warm welcome from our Principal, Mr Michael Baxter
An inspirational and well-rounded education is the birthright of all young people. I am delighted to lead a school with this aim and am hugely proud of the committed and professional colleagues I work alongside to bring this ambition to life.
By the time our students leave the academy in Year 13, they will have become articulate young adults with a sense of responsibility for the wider world. Our purpose, the Exploration of Life, guides their education during this transformative period as they are immersed in the best of all that has come before to enable them to shape what will come next; for themselves, but also the wider world.
We are high-achieving and heavily oversubscribed. In the academic Years 2023/24 and 2024/25 the academy has been in the top 25% of schools nationally for progress and attainment at both GCSE and A-Level and in the top 10% for BTEC Level 3. The majority of our students leave us with a plethora of options, be that employment, apprenticeships or entry into leading universities including Oxbridge.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact should you like to visit the academy.
