Governance arrangements – City of London Academies Southwark
The Local Board of the City of London Academy Southwark is responsible for ensuring there is a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction at the Academy.
Governors hold senior leaders to account for the educational performance of pupils, and oversee financial performance, ensuring money is well spent.
The Southwark Local Board has established a Finance and General Purposes sub committee, which considers matters of finance, resources and facilities for the Academy.
The City of London Academies Trust is the legal entity accountable for the City of London Academy (Southwark). The Trust is sponsored by the City of London Corporation. Further information can be found on the Trust web site: http://www.cola.org.uk

From November he is President of the Chartered College of Teaching and will chair the Council of the College for two years whilst in post. A Founding Fellow of the Chartered College, Steven was one of the first teachers in the U.K. to gain Chartered Teacher Status and recently was awarded Chartered Teacher (Leadership).
